ST. LOUIS, MO -- St. Louis-based Haberberger, Inc., a full-service mechanical contracting company, today announced that it recently acquired Weldon Spring, Mo.,-based Harke Heating and Air Conditioning. The move allows Haberberger to add sheet metal work to its comprehensive list of services the company provides to clients. As part of the acquisition, Bob Harke, former president of Harke Heating and Air Conditioning, has joined Haberberger as Sheet Metal Operations Manager, where he is responsible for running the sheet metal division. Harke, of St. Peters, Mo., has an extensive background in sheet metal, having served the past 35 years with the family owned company and the past 13 years as president.
With the addition of Harke and through the acquisition of Harke Heating and Air Conditioning, Haberberger’s sheet metal capabilities now include HVAC ductwork fabrication and installation, architectural sheet metal, dust collection and bag houses, clean room and hospital ductwork. Haberberger’s fabrication shop also has incorporated a variety of new technologies as part of the acquisition, including TDC machines and a Vicon Plasma Cutting System.
“In this challenging economic climate, Haberberger is thrilled to have the opportunity to offer sheet metal services and expand our capabilities in the St. Louis region and beyond,” notes Neil Haberberger, company president. “Bob’s expertise in sheet metal operations will allow us to better serve our existing clients, while also giving us the opportunity to serve new customers whose needs we are now able to meet.”
