Design & Construction Week Holds Opening Ceremonies

FRANKFURT, GERMANY — For the first time since it was founded, the VDMA Sanitary Technology and Design Industry Association will be exhibiting at the ISH in Frankfurt. From March 17 to 21, 2025, the alliance of the sanitary industry and installation technology will be exhibiting in Hall 3.1 at Stand D73 – together with the VDMA Valves Association and the umbrella organization VDS.
“The ISH is the world's leading trade fair for water, heat and air and therefore the most important trade fair for the sanitation and HVAC sector,” says Dr Laura Dorfer, Managing Director of VDMA Sanitary Technology and Design and VDMA Valves. “It has also repositioned itself conceptually. On this basis, we are using our large industry network to help make the ISH a success.” This applies not only to the current trade fair, but also to the subsequent events, emphasizes Dorfer, adding: “After all, with VDMA Sanitary Technology and Design and VDMA Valves, we represent almost 50 active exhibitors and stand behind the ISH with the entire range of industry brands.”
Design Plaza
The VDMA Sanitary Technology and Design stand in Hall 3.1 D73 has a lounge area where the industry association invites its partners from craft, retail and industry to exchange ideas. At the same time, the network of brand manufacturers will be taking part in the extensive lecture program, which will provide information and inspiration right next door on the “Design Plaza” stage (stand D71) and which VDMA Sanitary Technology and Design is organizing together with its partners VDS, World Architects, Stylepark and Architonic. Interested parties from the craft and retail sector are just as welcome as planners, architects, designers and investors. The highlights include:
- Installation efficiency and ease of assembly in sanitary technology
on the 17th at 4:30 PM with Geberit, Bette and Grohe, - Design trends in the feel-good bathroom
on the 18th at 3:15 PM with designers from Bette and Kludi, - Water and energy efficiency: Innovations in the sanitary industry
on 19th at 11:00 AM with Hansgrohe, Viega and Kemper, - Concepts and solutions for barrier-free sanitary rooms
on the 20th at 12:00 PM panel discussion with craft, industry and politics and - Expert talk on the subject of PFAS
on the 21st at 12.00 PM.
The Design Plaza is also the starting point for several guided VDMA tours to the stands of the innovation leaders. At the individual stations, experts will present the latest trends and bring the industry's innovations to life. Topics include, for example:

on the 17th at 1:00 PM (tour 1) and 3:00 PM (tour 2), - Tour “Installation technology & water treatment”
