WASHINGTON, DC – The VMA Valve Basics Seminar and Petting Zoo comes to Pasadena, TX, November 9-11, 2022.  This is the first time the program is offered in person since 2019, and has some new content compared to past events.

The three-day program consists of non-proprietary content that covers the common types of valves used in multiple applications, an advanced look at flow-control technology beyond the common valve used in specific markets, and how valves continue to evolve based on new industry standards and current trends.

Hands-On Experience

The "Petting Zoo" is what really sets the event apart. During this time, attendees will handle, operate, and investigate various valve and actuator samples in a small group with presenters available to demonstrate and answer questions.

In addition to a review of the applications, operation and benefits of common valves and materials, this year’s program will also offer a session on key standards for specific valve types, and ways in which the industrial internet of things and automation are being successfully implemented.  Also unique to this program, is the number of presenters available who are recognized as experts on specific valve and actuator types.

Ideal for Newcomers

“The Valve Basics Seminar and Petting Zoo is the perfect event for professionals new to the valve industry, those who sell or distribute valves and actuators, and end-user markets who use valves in their products,” says Heather Rhoderick, VMA president. “Not only will attendees learn about the fundamentals of valves and actuators, but they will also have the opportunity to interact with real samples alongside our presenters who will be available to answer questions about the operation of the valve, as well as address specific applications and scenarios that may be unique to each attendee’s experience.”

The Valve Basics Seminar and Petting Zoo is open to all in the flow control industry. Manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, end users, engineering and consultants will all find value in the information presented.  Registration rates begin at $955 for the full three days.  Rates increase after the early bird deadline of October 25, 2022.  Sponsorships for the event are also offered.
