EDISON, NJ — As part of the company’s ongoing mission to provide comfort in individuals' daily lives, SFA Saniflo USA, a division of Group SFA, and the world leader in above-the-floor macerating and grinding toilets and drain pumps, has donated to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to provide care to all individuals and families affected by mental illness.
“There are so many barriers people face when they seek care for their mental health,” says Daniel H. Gillison, NAMI chief executive officer. “Stigma, cost, lack of culturally competent treatment, and a shortage of providers often prevent people from getting the help they deserve. Tackling these barriers is more critical now than ever before.”
Saniflo’s donation will support NAMI’s efforts to provide education, resources, and public awareness to the challenges millions of Americans impacted daily by mental health conditions face.
“At Saniflo, we’ve always believed that innovative solutions can transform lives,” says Regis Saragosti, CEO of SFA Saniflo North America. “Increasing access and awareness to mental health care will bring positive change to countless individuals and families and create more compassion for those affected.”
NAMI
Founded by a small group of families in 1979, NAMI has grown to be the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. With over 600 local affiliates and 49 state organizations, NAMI works within communities to provide support groups, education programs, and care to those affected by mental illness. NAMI also works to fight stigmatizations of mentally ill by hosting public awareness events such as Mental Health Week and shaping national policy.
“Our donation to NAMI will enable their efforts to democratize access and awareness to mental health care,” says Saragosti. “Together, we can create more compassion and make everyone's mental health a priority.”
