ST. LOUIS, MO — Employees of Marcone, a leading North American distributor of residential and commercial kitchen appliance, HVAC, plumbing and pool/spa parts and equipment, recently took part in a nationwide initiative to honor fallen soldiers by placing holiday wreaths on their gravesites.
On Saturday, December 14, Marcone employees were among more than two million volunteers involved in Wreaths Across America at more than 4,600 cemeteries across the US, Puerto Rico and abroad. Marcone purchased 1,500 wreaths, then employees and family members met at cemeteries in their communities to place one on each tombstone, stopping to silently thank the fallen service member as they did.
Marcone teams arranged for wreaths to be placed at:
- Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri
- Memorial Park Cemetery, Tampa, Florida
- Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Florida
- State Veterans Cemetery, Middleton, Connecticut
- New Albany National Cemetery, New Albany, Indiana
“Our communities owe an immeasurable debt to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom,” said Asterios Satrazemis, Chief Executive Officer of Marcone. “Taking time during the holiday season to honor and remember these heroes is a small but meaningful way to express our gratitude and ensure their legacy is never forgotten.”
