LOVELAND, COLO. — Two separate charity fundraising events will be held during the Radiant Panel Association’s REXperience conference and trade show in Utica, N.Y., May 27-29.
On Friday, May 29, at the Valley View Golf Club in Utica, the first annual RPA golf outing will be held. Proceeds from this event will benefit The Lowe Fund to provide scholarships and assistance to the next generation of radiant technicians.
The Lowe Fund, named after Ted Lowe, a member of the RPA, is a tribute to Radiant Panel Association members who have shown outstanding support for the organization over the years. Lowe has served four terms as president of the RPA, is a RPA certified installer and designer, and a RPA authorized instructor who has donated his time teaching RPA classes. He is a cancer survivor and is the inspiration for the Lowe Fund.
Following the golf outing, an auction will be held during the evening meal at the Mohawk Valley Community College campus as a part of the conference and trade show. A sundry of donated items will be auctioned off at the event. Proceeds from the auction will be split between a local charity, Hope House and the RPA. The Hope House is currently engaged in a new building project in which radiant heat will be utilized.
The Hope House has served meals to more than 80,000 homeless people in the inner-city Utica area since 1992. Hope House provides the homeless with safe haven from the streets and helps them find other resources in the community that they may need to help improve their lives.
