CONCORD, NH — Local business woman Susan Godbout, owner of Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Merrimack County, received the Woman of the Year Award from the Mr. Rooter Plumbing corporate office during the company's 2016 International Conference held Sept. 11-14, in San Antonio, Texas.
Each year, one standout female franchise owner is awarded the designation of Woman of the Year for consistently setting an example for other franchisees through continuous efforts to strengthen and support her franchise.
“Susan has been a great inspiration and asset to our company,” said Keith Godbout, of Mr. Rooter of Merrimack, who nominated her for the award. “She is deserving of this award and so much more. It is because of her support, care and drive that we are able to do everything we have done with our business.”
Mr. Rooter Plumbing, a subsidiary of the Dwyer Group, is active in the promotion and support of advancing the careers of women in male-dominated trade and service professions.
“Woman of the Year is an award that recognizes outstanding women leaders in a business historically dominated by men,” said Doyle James, president of Mr. Rooter Plumbing. “Susan exemplifies everything Mr. Rooter Plumbing looks for in a leader for the Woman of the Year award. It is our privilege to award her with this great honor.”
“I am so surprised to have been nominated for the Woman of the Year Award,” said Susan Godbout. “I never expected to be given this award. I have worked hard over the years to help bring our business where it is today and am glad to see others have seen what I have done and my ambition to make us the best plumbing company in the area.”
