BUFFALO, NY – John W. Danforth Company, one of the largest mechanical contractors in the northeast, has announced two executive promotions. Wendy Glauber was named General Counsel & Vice President of Human Resources, and Dennis Currie has been named Vice President, Business Analytics.

Most recently General Counsel & Human Resources Director, Glauber leads all legal and human resources matters for the company, and oversees Danforth’s contracts and human resources teams. Since assuming the company’s human resources responsibilities in 2019, she has developed practices and policies that are employee-focused and help strengthen the company-employee relationship. Glauber joined Danforth in 2017 as Senior Contract and Risk Manager, and led the implementation of the company’s subcontract standardization, which improved efficiencies. She has more than 20 years’ legal and human resources experience.

“Wendy has provided outstanding leadership over the past four years, and is a trusted advisor and partner to her colleagues,” said Robert Beck, Danforth CEO. “She understands that our employees are Danforth’s greatest and most valued resource, and works every day to make us a stronger employer, while also providing counsel on multiple issues that impact our business every day.”

Currie most recently served as Director of Service Operations. In his newly-created role, he will create and maintain a set of company-wide assets and processes that more fully align Danforth’s data strategy with overall business needs. He will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing the overall process of data collection and analysis, in partnership with the leaders of the company’s acquisition, operations and finance teams. Currie joined Danforth in 1999 as a Design Build Engineer/Service Account Manager. Over the past 22 years, he has also served as an Estimator, Director of Information Management and Purchasing Manager before taking a leadership role in Service Operations.

“We view data as a vital product that helps drive success,” Danforth President & COO Patrick W. McParlane said. “Under Dennis’ leadership, we want to ensure that our processes are delivering accurate, transparent and up-to-date information that facilitates decision-making, and that Danforth is getting optimal return on investment from our data collection and analysis initiatives.”

Danforth has more than 1,000 employees across a geographic footprint that includes its Buffalo headquarters and regional operations in Rochester, Syracuse, Albany and the Hudson Valley in New York, and Columbus, Ohio. The company works collaboratively with its union labor partners including the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters, the Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation (SMART) Workers, and several other labor partners across many local union jurisdictions throughout the northeast and beyond. Danforth operates an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, giving the company’s workforce an ownership stake in the company. Earlier this year, the company was chosen by CONTRACTOR magazine, a leading national industry publication, as its “Contractor of the Year.”
