NOVI, MI – At Brasscraft Manufacturing Company, it is not just about being a world-class manufacturer of plumbing and flow control products, it’s about the people – employees and the communities in which they work and live. And about finding ways to give back, all year long in small and big ways.

The company’s employees continue their legacy of community service through year-long efforts on behalf of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Research Centers.

This year’s Brasscraft team hosted several events to garner support and obtain donations, including a bake sale, a tailgate party and for the 9th time participating in the Detroit Free Press / Talmer Bank Marathon events. Every event brought the employees together for a lot of fun and for a good cause.

“Every year I’m amazed by the dedication and selflessness of our employees.  This year our employees and family members raised $20,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center.” said Josh Jaime, leader of the Team in Training group.   “I’m extremely grateful to everyone who participated and to the company for their generous support.”

Employees also Honor Veterans

In honor of our veterans, the Employee Activities Committee also rallied the employees to contribute goods which they used to assemble 150 bags of personal necessities for our veterans staying at the Piquette Square for Veterans complex in Detroit. Piquette Square is a 150-unit apartment project in Detroit to house and care for homeless veterans. They offer comprehensive support services to help the veterans develop self-sufficiency and reintegrate into the community. The team delivered the bags in person and celebrated with the veterans on Veterans Day.
