WATERTOWN, MASS. — The New England Fuel Institute will introduce its Oilheat Masters Program April 13 at NEFI’s technical training facility here.

Labeled by NEFI as “the advanced skills program for service technicians,” the course is geared for experienced technicians who wish to bring their expertise to a new level of achievement.

The course will present the technology and function of state-of-the-art heating controls and systems and fuel storage, beyond the scope of basic oil-heat training for burner service.

NEFI educator Tony Ruffo will serve as the lead instructor. Experts from leading manufacturers will be guest lecturers at one or more sessions to cover steam systems, modulating controls, domestic hot water, radiant, hydro air, storage tanks and fuel pumps. Following each lecture, Ruffo will facilitate a roundtable discussion on the topic.

To enhance the training process and demonstrate the coordination among many of the systems and controls under discussion, the program is offered only in its entirety.

The first series of classes will be held Tuesday and Thursday evenings for a total of 15 sessions. Tuition is $825 per student for employees of NEFI member companies; non-member tuition is $1,050. For a detailed course schedule and to register, visit www.nefi.com or call NEFI at 617/924-1000.
