FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. — Moss & Associates recently received Florida Sunshine State Safety Recognition awards for two projects: the Soho Beach House Resort, Miami, and the new U.S. Customs and Immigration Service field office, West Palm Beach, Fla.
Since last July, Moss received nine Sunshine State Safety awards from the University of South Florida’s Safety Consultation Program. Other Moss projects recognized with awards were Mint and The Ivy, two luxury Miami condominiums; the Marion County Emergency Operations Center, Ocala, Fla.; the University of Miami’s Biomedical Research building and parking garage, Miami; Central Energy Plant, Miami; and Publix supermarkets, Miami and Hialeah, Fla.
“Moss’ company-wide clarity about safe work practices translates into meeting schedules, boosting morale, establishing higher levels of expectation for the safety performance of subs and delivering projects on time and on budget,” said Charlene D. Vespi, program director, USF Safety Consultation Program. Only about 5% of all companies or projects that participate in the USF program receive this award.
“Based on the company’s awards and its investment in safety education with subcontractors, we are pleased to consider Moss & Associates our leading partner in construction management safety in the state of Florida,” added Vespi.
In addition to the Sunshine State Safety Recognition awards, Moss has been recognized twice by the federal Occupational Health and Safety Administration through its Safety and Health Achievement Recognition program. In addition, Liberty Mutual Insurance Group has presented Moss with seven Gold Safety Awards. The insurer presents the Gold Safety Award to less than 1% of its contracting customers nationwide.
