On Saturday, September 19, twenty BrassCraft employees volunteered to help build a Habitat for Humanity home in Pontiac, Michigan.
BrassCraft calls their volunteer program “BC Build” and encourages employees to become involved in community activities, especially those that relate to building.
Habitat for Humanity has built more than 100 homes in Oakland County, utilizing over 20,000 volunteers like the BrassCraft team, according to Brad Irwin (center, arms folded). Brad is Director of Partnerships, Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County, and to his left is David Tisch, Product Designer for BrassCraft and coordinator of the BrassCraft Build program. David’s team spent the day doing finish work on the home’s interior and installing exterior siding. The BrassCraft Build team performed so well that they were recruited to assist at a second Habitat for Humanity home under construction a short distance away.
