EDMONTON, ALBERTA — Energy Saving Products’ manufacturing facilities and offices in Edmonton, Alberta, were destroyed by a fire that occurred after business hours the night of Jan. 27. No one was in the facilities or offices when the fire occurred.
According to Ryan Stearns, plant manager at Energy Saving Products, the fire department advised that the cause of the fire was arson, and the investigation has been turned over to the police.
After the fire, a new office and manufacturing location in Edmonton were quickly located and secured in order for the company to continue manufacturing products. Energy Saving Products received several warehouse and office space offers, and suppliers helped the company by shipping materials, so manufacturing could start as soon as possible.
According to Energy Saving Products’ Web site, the company expects to have its full product line, including the Lo-V and JH series, available for shipping within four weeks from the date of the fire. The Flex Duct and Hi-Velocity Air Purification System shipments were not affected by the fire. On Feb. 13, the company shipped an order of 40 Hi-Velocity units, complete with flex duct and accessories.
In a letter posted on the company Web site, dated Jan. 29, Elaine Prevost, president of Energy Saving Products, and Leon Prevost, CEO of Energy Saving Products, thank their network of customers, representatives and suppliers for their encouragement, assistance and continued support.
