The Continental Automated Buildings Association has entered into an agreement with Informa Exhibitions to organize the first ever Intelligent Buildings and Connected Home Pavilion at Greenbuild 2016, scheduled for October 5-7 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The arrangement will allow firms involved in the design, manufacture, installation and retailing of products related to home and building automation to exhibit in a pavilion group setting at Greenbuild, which is recognized as the world's largest conference and expo dedicated to green building.
CABA members and other industry stakeholders obtain exclusive benefits by exhibiting at CABA's pavilion space at Greenbuild. Exhibitors in this new pavilion will get added profile and marketing support through CABA, plus increased delegate traffic, due to the pavilion's proximity to the event's Net Zero Energy pavilion. New exhibitors who are CABA members will receive a preferred exhibit rate. Existing Greenbuild exhibitors, that wish to move to this new Pavilion, can discuss this option with show management.
Exhibitors already confirmed in the new pavilion include Mitsubishi Electric Cooling and Heating, Computrols Inc., Appraisal Institute, Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada, Functional Fenestration Inc., Somfy and CABA .
U.S. Green Building Council, a CABA member, is committed to a prosperous and sustainable future through cost-efficient and energy-saving green buildings. USGBC works toward its mission of market transformation through robust educational offerings, a nationwide network of chapters and affiliates, Greenbuild, the Center for Green Schools and advocacy in support of public policy that encourages and enables green buildings and communities. USGBC is best known for its development of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating system.
CABA believes the establishment of a new intelligent building and connected home pavilion at Greenbuild will allow it to collaborate more closely with the Greenbuild audience to demonstrate the benefits of smart home and intelligent building technologies to green building environments.
"CABA acknowledges that Greenbuild is the most important showcase for green building design and technology," stated Ronald J. Zimmer, CABA President & CEO. "We therefore believe the establishment of a partnership to provide a connected home and intelligent building pavilion is a great opportunity to demonstrate the strength and added value of energy efficient and sustainable technologies in green and sustainable building environments."
"Together with CABA, we will expand home and building automation on our show floor, with an aim of broadening the scope of specific vertical green building market segments," said Lindsay Roberts, group director, Informa Exhibitions. "We are excited to enter into a partnership with CABA and strategically grow our relationship with a key organization whose focus aligns with Greenbuild in advancing smart home and building technologies."
