“When building a state-of-the-art venue, you want state-of-the-art products that are tried and tested over many years,” said Sean Broderick, Operations Manager at The Astro. Understanding that the restroom has the potential to make or break a visitor’s experience, the venues specified thoughtfully designed Sloan products that can be counted on to get the job done, starting with SloanStone® Solid Surface Gradient Sinks.
These sink systems are designed to be a high-traffic solution, as they are vandal resistant and easily serviced with easy-to-clean designs. In addition, the sinks are paired with Sloan’s Optima® EAF-350 Deck-mounted Faucets and Sloan ESD-600 Deck-mounted Soap Dispensers to provide visitors with an integrated handwashing experience. The venue also installed Sloan’s Optima EBF-85 Deck-mounted Faucets to help accommodate the high-use crowds and optimize traffic flow through the restrooms.

As a forward-thinking entertainment destination, The Astro places great emphasis on the user experience and sustainability in all aspects of its operation. That’s why it specified touchless, sensor-operated faucets as well as Sloan’s CX 8198 Concealed Sensor Urinal Flushometers and CX 8158 Concealed Sensor Water Closet Flushometers. The flushometers are paired with Sloan’s Vitreous China SU-1019 Urinals and ST-2469 Water Closets to maximize sustainability potential and functionality.
Together, these products help both venues save water everyday thanks to their high-efficiency water conservation technology. “Sloan products are optimized to be sustainable and conserve water, which not only helps the environment, but water bills as well,” Broderick said.
