THE NEWTON ELECTRIC SERVICE VEHICLE is powered exclusively by battery, runs without noise or vibration, and stores electrical energy during stopping through a process called regenerative breaking. It has a top speed of 50 MPH, and depending on battery configuration a range of 100-150 miles with a payload of up to 16,000 lb. It utilizes the latest in Lithium-ion battery cell technology and power management.
