PMA Plumbing Heating Cooling Expo offers educational seminars for contractors
ATLANTA — At the first, annual PMA Plumbing Heating Cooling Expo, Marietta, Ga., April 24, there will more than 50 vendors showcasing the latest products and services for contractors, plus, a variety of activities for cooling, heating and plumbing contractors, students, suppliers and other associated professionals.
Education seminars will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Topics include, Electricity for Plumbers; Grinder Pump 101; Principles of Heat Pump Water Heaters, Trenching Tabulated Data Sheets; Gas Regulators; Creating & Maintaining Service and Maintenance Agreements; and Paperless Invoicing on Smart Devices.
John Rocker, Former Atlanta Braves Closer, will be available for photographs and autographs during the Expo on Thursday, April 24, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In addition, attendees can also pick up a signed copy of Rocker’s book “Scars and Strikes.” Partial proceeds from book purchases will benefit the PHCC Education Foundation Scholarship Funds and John’s charity, Save Homeless Veterans Inc.
The Iron Man Competition will consist of two-person teams performing a cast iron and copper piping project in 90 minutes. Contestants must wear work boots, long pants and bring their own safety glasses and hand tools. PMA will provide a list shortly of the required tools. Contestants can be apprentices, plumbing techs, journeyman or master plumbers or HVAC techs. Limited to 10 Teams Competing
