Milwaukee - Penta Technologies Inc., a provider of enterprise software for the engineering and construction industries, and Dexterra Inc., a provider of software to automate and manage mobile workforces, announced the rollout of its Mobile Field Reporting software that lets construction firms record and transmit labor, equipment and production data from the job site. The software enables communication, saves time, reduces paperwork and creates quicker billing and payroll cycles.

Penta Mobile Construction Software applications, including Field Reporting and Field Service, were built using the Dexterra Concert mobile development platform. Dexterra provided Penta access to training, tools, mentoring and documentation through its Partner Enablement program, giving Penta the tools needed to build their own solution.

“Our customers are primarily commercial and industrial contractors whose union reporting, customer billing and employee payroll demands place tremendous importance on the process of reporting production information between the field and the office,” said Cam Smith, vice president of development for Penta Technologies. “Penta Mobile Field Reporting software helps the contractors' field and the office teams to work in unison and more efficiently by removing costly, redundant administrative efforts from planning, scheduling, capturing, reviewing, approving and reporting on work performed in the field.”
