MREA opens registration for solar thermal, wind classes

Nov. 15, 2013
Introductory courses in PV solar, solar thermal, and wind power are available in early 2014. Advanced courses are plentiful for those seeking CEUs for their licenses or certifications. Course descriptions and registration info can be found on the MREA course calendar page.

CUSTER, WIS. — The Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) has been educating consumers and renewable energy industry professionals for over two decades, and that tradition continues. MREA has announced that its course calendar for January - June 2014 is live on its website and registration is now open. Whether you’re a novice or a renewable energy professional, interested in solar power and/or wind power, or prefer online versus face-to-face training, MREA has a course for you.

Introductory (101) courses in solar electricity, solar thermal energy, and wind power are all available in early 2014. Advanced 400-level courses are plentiful as well, for those seeking CEUs for their licenses or certifications. MREA also offers a wide range of courses that target specific audiences (firefighters, electrical inspectors, community and technical college instructors) and popular topics of interest (battery-based systems, structural design, sales, and financing) that are prudent in today’s renewable energy environment.

Course descriptions and registration information can be found on the MREA course calendar page. MREA Members receive a $20 discount on courses, free access to on-demand courses, and free admission to MREA’s summer Energy Fair. Questions regarding MREA Training should be directed to MREA’s Curriculum and Training Coordinator Jenny Heinzen at [email protected].

MREA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization. Founded in 1990, the MREA promotes renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable living through education and demonstration. Additional information is available from 715-592-6595 or at www.midwestrenew.org.
