ELYRIA, OHIO — Ridgid has awarded four scholarships through the Educational Foundation of the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors – National Association to students enrolled in plumbing-heating-cooling apprentice programs. PHCC administers the scholarship program, which is designed to attract new talent essential to the future of the plumbing and HVACR industry, and is also responsible for selecting the award winners. Scholarship recipients will receive up to $1,000 in tuition assistance and $1,500 in Ridgid tools.
“Ridgid Tools are designed and manufactured for the professional tradesperson” said Craig Sumner, director, Ridgid brand management. “We are proud to sponsor scholarships that further the education of apprentices as they work to become plumbing and HVACR trade professionals.”
The 2012 scholarship recipients are:
· Tyler Arndt of Brooklyn, Wis., is working full-time at PHCC member company Arndt & Son Plumbing and is enrolled in the Madison Area Technical College Plumbing Apprenticeship Program.
· Justin Gould of San Diego, Calif., is working full-time at PHCC member company Bill Howe Inc., and is enrolled in the San Diego PHCC Plumbing Apprentice Program.
· Dana Parks of Imperial Beach, Calif., is working full-time at PHCC member company Bill Howe Inc., and is enrolled in the San Diego PHCC Plumbing Apprentice Program.
· Matthew Saille of El Cajon, Calif., is working full-time at PHCC member company Bill Howe Inc., and is enrolled in the San Diego PHCC Plumbing Apprentice Program.
PHCC Educational Foundation, a partnership of contractors, manufacturers, and wholesalers, was founded in 1987.
