Jonathan Duncklee receives Employer of the Year Award

STONINGTON, CONN. — Jonathan Duncklee, vice president of Duncklee Cooling and Heating, Stonington, Conn., received the Edward O. McCabe 2012 Employer of the Year award at the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce Silent Auction and Annual Dinner held in December 2012.

STONINGTON, CONN. — Jonathan Duncklee, vice president of Duncklee Cooling and Heating, Stonington, Conn., received the Edward O. McCabe 2012 Employer of the Year award at the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce Silent Auction and Annual Dinner held in December 2012.

This recognition comes to Duncklee as a result of his outstanding relationship with his employees, and his dedication as a leader both within his company and his community. The Duncklee employee who nominated Duncklee describes him as “everything a boss should be,” and that “he has shown compassion, caring and strength, as a man and as our leader.”

While Duncklee has cared for his staff’s well being, he has also been active in his community, supporting organizations such as Hygienic Art, Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Garde Arts Center, the Eugene O’Neill Theater, MASH, Hospice of SECT, and most recently The Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center’s Campaign to preserve Coogan Farm. 

Duncklee’s dedication to his company staff and his community shows his commitment as a businessman and leader. The company has had its share of economic highs and lows over the past 39 years, but under his guidance, the staff has grown from eight employees to approximately 35.

Duncklee Cooling and Heating also received a Volunteers of the Year Award and a Community Service Award.
