1. What makes Milestone Plumbing Inc. unique when compared to other plumbing companies?
The Milestone Plumbing team provides a superior level of customer service that our clients appreciate. The entire team is willing to “Go the Extra Mile” and to exceed customer expectations whenever possible. We try to find a way to not only fix what needs immediate attention, but also add value to our clients’ homes and workplaces by being proactive and discussing other concerns to help educate our clients on their properties.
We strive to have thorough communication with our clients before, during, and after each of their projects are completed no matter if it’s a simple service call or a larger scale remodel. 2. How many trucks does Milestone Plumbing Inc. have? What type of trucks (make and model)?
Milestone started out with one truck four years ago and has grown to a “mini-fleet” of five trucks. The first truck is still in the mini-fleet, but will likely look to retirement in the next year or two. Types of trucks are: 2009 Chevy Express 2500; 2012 Ford Econoline E-250; 2014 Ford; Econoline E-250; 2013 Ford Transit Connect; and 2015 Ford Transit.
We love the design of the new Ford Transit after being very hesitant initially about the transition. We had mastered our inventory layout in the Ford Econolines and the Chevy Express and were concerned when Ford announced that they were no longer going to offer the Econolines. The height and storage on the new Transit is fantastic and the team is very excited that in time we will replace the existing trucks with these models.
3. What are the most used tools at Milestone Plumbing Inc.?
We use a ton of Milwaukee Electric Tools and we all love it! All of our trucks have both Milwaukee corded and cordless tools. We love the new Milwaukee 18 Volt Fuel line and will purchase more of it in the future. Some of the tools that we use most often are the sawzall, hole hawg, hackzall, copper tubing cutter, drill driver, pex tool, and my personal favorite – the LED flashlight. This flashlight is a must have for anyone, not just people in the trades. We have given these out as gifts in the past. The amount of light this flashlight produces along with its small design is amazing.
More and more we are beginning to use the Milwaukee ProPress tool which was a big investment, but has proven to be a fantastic for repairs in commercial projects that have larger diameter water piping. The ProPress tool has saved our clients considerable costs as it cuts labor needed for repairs. We also use a small amount of Rigid equipment for gas piping needs and other specialty tools, but our shop and trucks are covered in Milwaukee red.
4. What equipment is most installed during residential jobs?
We install a variety of equipment and fixtures depending on the job. Here’s a partial list of what we use most often:
