ABC Names United Group Services Contractor of the Year

SAN ANTONIO, TX — Associated Builders and Contractors today named United Group Services, headquartered in West Chester, Ohio, its 2022 Contractor of the Year. This award recognizes contractor companies for corporate integrity and commitment to safety, professional development and expert craftsmanship. The award was presented at the 32nd annual Excellence in Construction® Awards gala on March 16 during ABC Convention 2022 in San Antonio.

United Group Services is both an ABC Top Performer and an ABC Accredited Quality Contractor. UGS earned the highest level—Platinum—in ABC’s STEP Safety Management System, and is the first industrial mechanical contractor to be recognized under the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Volunteer Protection Programs initiative for implementing effective safety and health management systems.

Since its start in 1982, United Group Services has grown from a small piping business to a 450-person company that offers rigging, engineering, fabrication, HVAC, insulation, maintenance and other services across the United States.
