Wilson Supply Reports Growth
HOUSTON — Wilson Supply reported strong growth in 2004 from a geographic and product standpoint. Revenues grew in all the company’s major product lines — pipe, valves, and fittings and mill, tool and safety. Total revenues were $1.2 billion in 2004 compared to $900 million in 2003.
The increased activity in U.S. and Canadian oil and gas markets and new contract awards generated revenue increases of 30% in the energy segment. The growth resulted in eight new U.S. branches being opened. New contracts, increased spending and sharply rising steel prices led to revenues increases of 28% in the industrial market.
