MILWAUKEE — GC Schmidt, a leading general contractor and construction manager in Wisconsin, has named mechanical services contractor Illingworth Corp. its Subcontractor of the Year. Illingworth is a subsidiary of EMCOR Group.

For each of the last four years, Schmidt has polled its project managers and field superintendents to determine its top subcontractor. The review and selection of candidates is based on the sub’s performance in a variety of areas, including teamwork, quality of work, leadership, safety, innovation and schedule compliance, noted Jon Scholz, vice president/project management for Schmidt.

“Based on these criteria, we selected Illingworth in recognition of its exceptional level of dedication, service, quality and integrity,” he said.
