William F. Lynch dies

WORCESTER, MASS. — William F. Lynch, 86, a past president of the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors – National Association, died May 14, 2010. A World War II veteran, Lynch founded the William F. Lynch Co. in 1949, where he was president until 1992 when he became chairman. He was president of the Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors of Massachusetts and president of PHCC-NA in 1977. He served two terms as president of the New England Mechanical Contractors Association in 1976 and in 1992 and served multiple terms as president of the Associated Subcontractors of Massachusetts during the 1980s. During his career, he served as the chairman of the Pension Trustees, the Health and Welfare Trustees and the Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee for Worcester’s United Association Local 4. In 1990, Local 4 honored Lynch for his service to the plumbing and heating industry.
