WACO, TEXAS — Franchise Business Review has recognized the Mr. Rooter Corp. in its 2008 Franchise 50 awards, which highlight the top franchise companies with the highest levels of overall franchisee satisfaction.

“Of all the awards this one means the most to us because it was based on what our franchisees said about our system and relationship,” said Mary Kennedy Thompson, president of the Mr. Rooter Corp.

The awards are divided into several categories, and Mr. Rooter made the list of the top 50 franchise companies with 200 or more units.

The annual awards are based on research results from market research firm Franchise Business Review, which invited all active franchisees from each participating company to take part in the project. Franchisees completed surveys online, over the phone, via direct mail and facsimile. The 40-question survey addressed training and support, franchise system, franchisor relationship, financial opportunity and overall satisfaction.

“We listen to our franchisees and put programs into place to address their needs,” said Jeff Moody, vice president of operations for the Mr. Rooter Corp. “This past year they wanted recruiting and retention programs and that’s what we focused on. We want our franchisees to be satisfied with the training and support we offer.”
