ROLLING MEADOWS, IL -- Plumbing Manufacturers International Board President Stewart Yang is pleased to announce that Chase Brass and Copper Company is the first company to accept PMI's invitation to join the organization through a new membership category, Allied Membership.

The Allied Membership category was approved during the PMI Fall Conference held in September 2011 and welcomes new members who qualify as suppliers and certifiers to the plumbing industry. Members under this heading receive a number of the benefits of PMI membership, such as access to PMI publications and attendance at PMI’s semi-annual conferences at a special membership fee. Restrictions do apply.

“Chase began its relationship with PMI with an invitation from Barbara Higgens to consider membership. What we found was a professional organization that could provide Chase a better understanding of the important issues revolving around the plumbing industry,” said James Palmour, vice president of sales for Chase Brass and Copper Company.

PMI Executive Director Barbara C. Higgens added, “We are delighted to welcome Chase Brass as a charter Allied Member. The company has been an enthusiastic sponsor of our events for several years. PMI is very excited to offer Allied Membership to Chase Brass and other supplier companies and certifier organizations.”

For more information on membership, please call PMI at 847/481-5500.

PMI’s Spring Conference is scheduled for April 1-4, 2012 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Sonoma Wine Country, Rohnert Park, Calif.
