Plumbing Council Partners With Cardinals
ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Plumbing Industry Council, in conjunction with United Association Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 562, has become a corporate sponsor of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. Starting with its annual "Night at the Ball Game" in May, the Plumbing Industry Council welcomed 225 contractors, affiliates and guests to Busch Stadium. The ceremonial first pitch was throne out by Mallory Mitchell, daughter of Plumbing Industry Council President Robert C. Mitchell.
The evening featured the unveiling of the Plumbing Industry Council's 3-by-40-ft. rotating sign located down the third-base line as well as a promotional video recognizing the Plumbing Industry Council's 40th Anniversary and honoring the 1967 Cardinals World Series Championship team. The two-minute promotional video airs twice before every Cardinals' home game. A 30-second version of the video airs during extended delays in the game, such as rain delays and pitching changes.
In addition, the Plumbing Industry Council installed misting stations on the Terrace Concourse Level. The misting stations, installed by DeLuca Plumbing, are located in sections behind home plate and right field and feature the Plumbing Industry Council's new ad campaign: "Licensed Union Plumbers — Make Your Water Work."
The Plumbing Industr y Council is a local trade association representing 165 licensed, union plumbing contractors affiliated with the PlumbingHeating-Cooling Contractors – National Association.
