PHCC Past President Dauenhauer dies

Ray Dauenhauer, the 1986-1987 president of the National Association of Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors – National Association, died Jan. 2 after a battle with cancer.

LOUISVILLE, KY. —Ray Dauenhauer, the 1986-1987 president of the National Association of Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors – National Association, died Jan. 2 after a battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Constance "Connie" Carricato Dauenhauer; and his daughter, Courtney Rae Dauenhauer; two sisters-in-law, Bonnie Allen and Janet Mingus (Kenny); nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews.

He was the past owner of Dauenhauer & Son Plumbing and Piping Inc. here. His, father, Raymond C. Dauenhauer Sr., founded Dauenhauer Plumbing in March 1958, serving the Louisville area with high-quality service plumbing for residential and commercial customers. In 1964, Ray Dauenhauer Jr., joined the business and established the current company name of Dauenhauer & Son Plumbing and Piping Inc. Today, the company is locally owned and operated by Gary Thieneman and Chris LeBoeuf.

The Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Louisville, Ky. Visitation is 6:00-9:00 p.m. Wednesday and 12:00-5:00 p.m. and 6:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, Ky., 502-451-4420.
