O’Brien Award of Excellence Awarded to Wayne Turchetta

ROCKVILLE, MD – HMC Service Company, Louisville, KY, Vice President Wayne Turchetta was awarded the D.S. O’Brien Award of Excellence at the Mechanical Service Contractors of America’s 25th Annual Educational Conference in Scottsdale, AZ, October 17. The trade association is based in Rockville, MD, and represents more than 1,400 companies providing heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration service to commercial, industrial and residential facilities across the country.

The D.S. O’Brien Award of Excellence was established by MSCA in 2000 to recognize those individuals who exhibit extraordinary dedication and outstanding commitment to the mechanical service contracting industry and to MSCA.

“This year’s recipient of the Spence O’Brien Award truly encompasses all the criteria that make this award special,” said 2010 MSCA Board of Managers Chairman Dave Bavisotto. “Wayne’s energy, enthusiasm and passion for our industry is without bounds and his dedication and commitment to MSCA is tremendous. He is always the first to volunteer for a new project and never one to shy away from a difficult or time-consuming task.”

“Wayne has served on practically every MSCA committee and task force,” Bavisotto continued. “When he completed his first 6-year term on the MSCA Board of Managers he couldn’t wait to get right back on the Board – which he did for another 6-year term and I am certain he would agree to another term if offered. Through his leadership and guidance MSCA has achieved many commendable milestones and, to this day, he continues to play a very active and instrumental role in many MSCA matters. He jumped on the green bandwagon early in the game when he realized the many opportunities it afforded to service contractors and MSCA.”
