WACO, TEXAS – The Mr. Rooter Corp. announced the promotion of Beth Dobkin to manager of technical services and the addition of Bobbi Sullivan to its franchise consultant team.

A 25-year veteran of the plumbing industry, Dobkin joined Mr. Rooter as a franchise systems manager in 2005. In her new role, Dobkin is responsible for training and development, and technical and franchisee support, as well as vendor relations.

“Beth brings a wealth of ability, experience and drive to her new position,” said Mary Kennedy Thompson, president of Mr. Rooter Corp. “We’re pleased to have such talent within our team and be able to promote Beth to this position. Her years of business experience in the plumbing industry are a great match to this role.”

Before joining Mr. Rooter, Dobkin held many positions in the plumbing field. She was just a teenager when she got her first job in the plumbing industry. As the bookkeeper of a plumbing company, Dobkin was responsible for its accounting and payroll. She went on to own a plumbing business with her husband for 16 years. Upon selling their company, Dobkin stayed on as office manager and eventually general manager.

“My focus for my new role at Mr. Rooter is to create a balance between existing business practices and enhancements to better serve our customers,” said Dobkin, who has a diploma from the National Center for Construction Education and Research as a plumbing instructor and core curricula instructor.

Sullivan comes to Mr. Rooter from Cookies by Design where she was a franchise business consultant. Her career began when she was a manager of the corporate flagship shoppe of Cookie Bouquet. Altogether, she worked 12 years in various positions at the cookie company’s corporate office.

“I’ve learned the success of any brand is a great relationship, based on trust and respect, between the franchisee and the franchisor,” Sullivan said. “I am excited to join the Mr. Rooter team, and I am committed to the success of this great brand.”

In her new role as franchise consultant, Sullivan works directly with Mr. Rooter franchisees, supporting them in all aspects of their businesses. Thompson recruited Sullivan to the plumbing industry after working with her at Cookies by Design.

“Bobbi is a great addition to our team and brings with her a wealth of knowledge in franchise operations to our brand,” said Thompson, who was president of Cookies by Design before becoming president of Mr. Rooter.
