Recent hires, changes and promotions in the mechanical contracting industry.

Moen has announced the promotion of Mike Bauer to the newly created position of President, U.S. Businesses, effective immediately. The announcement was made by David Lingafelter, president, Moen, who will maintain his current role. In Bauer’s new position, he will assume responsibility for Moen’s U.S. business units including Wholesale, Retail, Commercial, Bath Accessories and Bath Safety. Bauer joined Moen in 1997 as Corporate Controller, and has had numerous positions with increasing responsibility over the last several years. Most recently, he served as Vice President and General Manager-U.S. Retail.

The Swan Corp., a leader in the development, manufacturing and marketing of high-performance surfacing materials and products for the bath and kitchen, announced that Michael Fischer has been hired to serve as its president and CEO, effective April 18, 2011. Fischer brings more than 30 years of building products industry experience in sales, marketing and manufacturing. He joins Swan from Formica Corp., a leader in the decorative surfacing industry, where he served as president of the $350 million North American business.

ECR, a hydronic equipment manufacturer, has announced that David Walsh has been appointed Director of Sales for the organization’s wholesale distribution businesses. Walsh began his career with his family-owned plumbing and heating business. He has over 25 years of experience, many of them spent with Weil McLain where he was Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

PB Heat, LLC recently welcomed Richard Michael, Jr. to the position of Commercial Specialist for their Peerless Boilers line of products. Michael brings over 23 years of diverse industry experience to Peerless. He was most recently employed by New Jersey-based Arrow Energy Corporation where he served as General Manager.

Grundfos Pumps has announced the promotion of Sherry Primm to National Accounts Manager for the Building’s Business Unit. Primm will be responsible for management, development and growth of National and Key Wholesale accounts in the Buildings Business Unit. She joined Grundfos in 2004 as a District Sales Manager in the Northwest Territory and has also served as Key Account Manager for the West Region-Buildings.
