PORTLAND, ORE. — Johnstone Supply Inc. has officially announced DeWight Wallace as the cooperative’s new CEO. Wallace assumes responsibilities at corporate headquarters this January.

Wallace brings more than 25 years of professional experience, including a track record of executive management directing all key aspects of business operations across a range of industries with experience and success in distribution-focused companies.

“We are extremely excited and pleased to welcome DeWight to the Johnstone Supply family,” said Board Chairman Frank Alexander. “We conducted a very deliberate and exacting search for an experienced distribution industry leader. We believe DeWight is not only a tremendous business manager, but more importantly he embodies our Johnstone values and our commitment and focus on customer service.”

Wallace has a bachelor’s in physics, math and electrical engineering, and a master’s in business administration. His experience includes positions with national companies, including Texas Instruments, General Motors and General Electric. Wallace has also worked at Premier Farnell, a $1.3 billion, 4,100 employee electronics distribution company.

“I’m excited to have the opportunity to continue and accelerate the impressive national growth Johnstone Supply has achieved,” said Wallace. “Johnstone is in an incredibly strong position and a leader in the industry. My goal, working with this tremendous Corporate team, Cooperative Members, the Board of Directors, and our dedicated employees will be to help this company reach even greater levels of success.”
