Illingworth-Kilgust is named MSCA GreenStar Contractor

MILWAUKEE — Illingworth-Kilgust Mechanical Inc., a subsidiary of EMCOR Group Inc., has been named an MSCA GreenStar Contractor by the Mechanical Services Contractors of America, an exclusive designation available only to MSCA Star contractors who have demonstrated a superior record of environmental responsibility. Only 26 MSCA contractors across the country have achieved GreenStar status to date, including two EMCOR companies, The Fagan Company and EMCOR Services Mesa Energy.

According to the MSCA, a contractor that has been awarded the GreenStar designation promotes sustainability throughout their entire organization, from employee training and education, to the products and services they offer their clients; possesses the skills and expertise necessary to deliver energy-efficient and cost-effective indoor environmental solutions; fulfills client needs and ensures tenant satisfaction by implementing sustainable mechanical service practices; and understands the latest in HVAC green technologies, including equipment upgrade and energy-efficient issues.

“Recognized by the HVAC industry’s top green building resource, the United States Green Building Council, MSCA GreenStar was developed to advocate leadership in sustainable mechanical service,” noted Barbara Dolim, executive director of MSCA. “The MSCA GreenStar designation is only given to MSCA STAR companies who have shown an exceptional commitment to sustainable mechanical service and are recognized as leaders in the green movement within the HVAC industry. The designation is evidence that a company possesses the skills necessary to deliver energy-efficient, cost-effective environmental solutions to meet customer needs and ensure tenant safety, health and comfort.”
