IAPMO, WPC to hold emerging technology forum

CHICAGO -- The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials and the World Plumbing Council are holding an International Emerging Technology Symposium Aug. 19-20 at the O'Hare Marriott Hotel in Chicago.
 
The event will allow participants to learn how the manufacturing, engineering and trade segments devise solutions to international regulatory developments on sanitation and health, water and energy efficiency, water reuse, solar and other renewables, water quality, and fat, oil and grease discharges.

Tom Meyer, executive director of  the Green Mechanical Council, will be presenting a shortened version of “GreenSpeak” during lunch on both days.
     
Sponsorship and support for the event is growing. Important industry organizations that have joined IAPMO and the WPC for the event include Sloan Valve Co., the American Society of Sanitary Engineering, The Institute of Plumbing Australia Inc. and the Indian Plumbing Association.
 
“This symposium represents an exciting opportunity to highlight how our industry creates and adapts to emerging technologies,” said IAPMO Executive Director G.P. “Russ” Chaney. “The event promises to be tremendously informative, as we trust a great many unique organizations will seize the opportunity by providing their most highly-qualified experts as presenters and panelists.”
