New Castle, Del. - The Nexstar Community Service award was given to Horizon Services, New Castle, Del., for establishing the Warm the Heart Foundation. The Nexstar Community Service award acknowledges a member company that has given back to communities. A $1,000 donation from Nexstar was also given to the foundation.

The foundation is a non-profit organization that provides replacement furnaces to needy families who might otherwise ignore the potential life-threatening issues of a faulty heating system. This year, the Warm the Heart Foundation has a goal to purchase and install enough furnaces to warm 15 homes that would have likely gone without heat this winter. Over the past three years, the organization installed 39 new heating systems at no cost to economically distressed families in the area.
