CHICAGO — Grainger recently launched its new occupational health and safety catalog, featuring a doubled safety offering, which includes more training and reference materials, and is organized by key safety issues and Occupational Safety & Heath Administration standards.

Businesses in every industry are increasing efforts to prevent accidents and injuries while also working to ensure compliance as OSHA increases its focus on safety enforcement and regulation under the new presidential administration. The National Safety Council reports that the average lost-time injury costs nearly $30,000. Ensuring facilities have the proper safety supplies can reduce and prevent the chance of workplace accidents, ultimately impacting a company’s bottom line.

“While companies make an honest effort to comply with OSHA regulations, our customers tell us that it isn’t always easy to keep things up-to-date,” said Deb Oler, vice president, Grainger Industrial Supply Brand. “As the largest distributor of safety supplies, Grainger provides the expertise, resources and products needed to help businesses and institutions maintain regulatory compliance, reduce accident and injury rates and decrease operating costs.”

In addition to using the new catalog, customers can also stay current on the latest trends in safety through the company’s free webinars that feature third party industry experts speaking on a variety of safety topics. Grainger also offers customers access to safety sales specialists who can connect customers with key safety suppliers to provide technical expertise that includes surveys, hazard assessments and compliance audits.

Grainger also helps businesses manage their inventory of safety supplies, including first aid cabinets and eyewash stations, through its Inventory Solutions program. As a result, customers can save time, reduce the possibility of stock outages, streamline processes and optimize inventory.
