Broadview, Ill. - The Unified Group has announced the addition of First Service Air Conditioning Contractors Inc. to its group of elite contractors.

The Unified Group assesses prospective members based on the number of years in business, commitment to training, awards and accolades received, positive customer and vendor references, and a desire to improve or grow the service side of the business.

First Service owner David Grosse said having high-level technicians, good customer relations and the ability to do the difficult job is what has contributed to his business's success.

First Service has been located in Midland, Texas, for more than 55 years.

First Service was established in 1952 by L.J. Jeter. The company operated under the name Jeter Sheetmetal Inc. until 1984 when it was purchased by David Grosse, who changed the name to First Service to represent the company's commitment to service. Today the business serves west Texas and is a leader in commercial air conditioning service, retrofit and replacement.
