NORWALK, CONN. -- EMCOR Group, Inc. has announced that for the third consecutive year thousands of its employees across the U.S. and U.K. will be commemorating Breast Cancer Awareness Month by donning EMCOR Pink Hard Hats in support of the Company's "Protect Yourself. Get Screened Today." campaign. Additionally, there will be a series of events across the U.S. during which EMCOR employees and its clients wearing EMCOR's Pink Hard Hats will form themselves into massive human pink ribbons, creating powerful visual "Calls to Action" in further support of the Company's campaign.

"We’re proud that EMCOR employees wear EMCOR Pink Hard Hats, challenging the ‘macho’ image of the construction industry and showing support for and endorsing action by family, friends, colleagues, and clients who are, have been, and could be affected by breast cancer," said Tony Guzzi, President & CEO of EMCOR. "At EMCOR, the majority of our field employees wear a hard hat on a daily basis for personal protection, and we are proud of their commitment to wear a Pink Hard Hat every day during this important month to help continue awareness of this disease that affects so many lives---and the action that can be taken to protect oneself from it."

EMCOR Human Pink Hard Hat 2011 ribbon formations, EMCOR’s "signature" event, involve participation by a number of clients at their locations, including:

Yale Cancer Center, New Haven, Connecticut
Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland
Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM), Southport, North Carolina
HealthOne Rose Medical Center, Denver, Colorado
Porter Health System, Highland, Indiana
University of Arizona College of Medicine, Phoenix, Arizona

A compelling, colorful start to, and support of, Breast Cancer Awareness month, these month-long commemorations will kick-off with a public event on October 3 at Yale Cancer Center and Yale School of Medicine. Each event will include conversations among a breast cancer survivor/spokesperson, EMCOR Pink Hard Hat-wearing construction workers, and local EMCOR subsidiary CEO.
