ELK GROVE VILLAGE, ILL. – Edwards Engineering, an energy solutions provider of heating, refrigeration, ventilation and air conditioning, is pleased to announce its placement on the General Services Administration’s list of approved vendors for Facilities Maintenance and Management.

Specifically, Edwards can perform Complete Facilities Maintenance; Refrigeration, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Maintenance Services; and Repairs and Alterations, company officials announced.

Edwards is just one of a handful of Illinois-based mechanical contractors on the GSA Schedule for its specific services. It is actively seeking out women-, minority- and veteran-owned businesses to work with on its GSA contracts.

Edwards has secured contracts, with its GSA approval, working at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital in Chicago.

“The GSA’s approval shows the high standards Edwards Engineering not only meets, but exceeds, in today’s competitive marketplace,” said Robert Paul, general manager of Edwards’ Building Services Group. “We are proud of the work we do, and grateful for the opportunity to serve the federal government’s needs with the knowledge and skill we serve all of our valued clients.”

The GSA’s Multiple Award Schedules program is one of its largest procurement initiatives with 18,000 contracts and more than $38 billion in sales in fiscal year 2010. It provides federal agencies and other authorized users with a simplified procurement process to purchase more than 12 million commercial items and services at volume-buying prices. Sales under the program have grown from $34.8 billion in fiscal year 2006 to $38.8 billion in fiscal year 2010.

Acceptance into the program means Edwards is included on the GSA Advantage! online ordering system, making its services accessible to government agencies and procurement agents internationally.

Edwards Engineering’s objective is to provide a multitude of energy conservation capabilities for its customers, with a LEED Accredited Professional on staff. Edwards Engineering has been offering competitive pricing, unparalleled workmanship and superb customer service since 1978. Additional information is available from www.edwardsengineering.com.
