The Wisconsin Valley Sheet Metal Contractors Association elected the following slate of officers at its March 15 meeting: President Jarvis Perkins of Balco Services, Greenville; Vice President Rick Hayes of EGI Mechanical, Seymour; and Secretary/Treasurer Mark Loper of Azco, Appleton. New board members are Brad Baumgart of Baumgart Mechanical, Kaukauna, and Thomas Schuster of Muza Sheet Metal, Oshkosh. David C. Seitz continues to serve as executive vice president.

The Mechanical Contractors Association of North Central Wisconsin has named its officers for 2006. They are: President Robert Fischer of J.F. Ahern Co., Fond du Lac; Vice President Donald Tennie of E.G.I. Mechanical, Greenville; and Secretary/Treasurer Mark Loper of Azco, Appleton. Board members include: William Bassett of Bassett Mechanical, Kaukauna; James Beno of Beno Plumbing, Green Bay; Gary Martin of August Winter & Sons, Appleton; Dewan Reinke of Hurckman Mechanical, Green Bay; Rick Kampo of R.J. Kampo Plumbing & Heating, Appleton; Alan Dvorak of Aldag/Honald Mechanical, Sheboygan; Jarvis Perkins of Balco Services, Greenville; and Michael Sturdivant of Tweet/Garot Mechanical, Green Bay.

Stan Peters has been named executive director of the Plumbing & Mechanical Contractors Association of Northern Illinois. Peters jointed the PAMCANI staff in January after 15 years as communications director and vice president of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, Local 1546. He succeeds Georgiana Kipp, who will retire this July after leading the organization since 1986.

Linc Facility Services has appointed Les Cunningham to chief operating officer of BMAR & Associates, LFS' new federal government division. Cunningham brings more than 30 years' operational experience in facilities and logistical management to this group. Most recently, Cunningham was senior vice president and general counsel for The Linc Group, parent company of LFS.

Excellence Alliance recently announced that Michael Baker has replaced Don Schmitt as president and CEO of this national alliance of independent contractors. Schmitt and Neil Quinn will continue to be board members and investors in the company. John Shriver has joined EAI as executive vice president and board member. Baker and Shriver have executive level experience in both large corporate and small business structures.

Vendors

Vincent Newton has been appointed the Eastern regional sales manager for Waterless Co. Newton has more than 20 years' experience in the commercial plumbing industry.

Jeff Woods has joined Mestek as national sales manager for SpacePak. Woods comes to the company with five years' industry experience, most recently as sales manager for boiler company RBI.

Jacuzzi Whirlpool Bath has appointed Buddy Lamana as national sales manager. Lamana has 15 years' experience in numerous wholesale and retail positions. Paul Sheppard has been named zone manager for the South. He has been with Jacuzzi since 2001. Andy Krug has been named zone manager for the Central States. He has been with the company since 2002. Gary Chmielewski will manage sales efforts for the Pacific Northwest. He has been with the company since 1996. Edmund L. Krainski has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president/finance. From 2000-2006, Krainski was treasurer of Zurn.

Creative Specialties International, a division of Moen, has recently named Gary Pember director of marketing and product development. Pember has been with the parent company since 1999, most recently as director of wholesale marketing.

Water Inc. has hired John Bircher for its newly created inside sales position. Bircher comes to the post from a background in advertising.

Eljer has promoted Frank Vullo to vice president/procurement. Vullo is a 24-year veteran of the company who was most recently director of product management.

Ann Swartzbaugh was recently promoted to the regional sales manager for New Yorker Boiler. She began her career with Burnham in January 2004 and joined New Yorker in July 2004.

Elkay has named Ann Rottinghaus program manager/residential markets. Before joining the company, Rottinghaus spent her career in the building materials market, most recently with Fieldstone Cabinetry.

Weil-McLain has named Dave Dolan vice president/marketing. Dolan most recently worked as regional sales manager for Atlas Copco. Weil-McLain has named Dane Nobbs its salesman of the year. Nobbs works out of the Metro Sales office, serving customers in Connecticut.

Precision Hydronic Products has announced that John Fantauzzi has joined the company as national product services manager. Fantauzzi comes to the post with an extensive background in the radiant heating industry, most recently as technical director for the Radiant Panel Association. He has more than 25 years' experience as an independent contractor and as product, sales and marketing manager for radiant system manufacturers.
