Tour Andover Controls Formed by Schneider Electric

BOSTON — Schneider Electric has merged its controls operations, Andover Controls and TAC (formerly Tour & Andersson Controls) into Tour Andover Controls. Schneider purchased TAC in June 2003 and acquired Andover Controls in August 2004.

Tour Andover Controls, with projected revenue of nearly $700 million in 2004, employs more than 2,700 people worldwide with offices, partners and affiliates in 70 countries. Arne Frank is CEO of the new company.

Frank has served as CEO of TAC, based in Malm, Sweden, since 1999. Previously, he was a global business area manager for Schneider Electric based in France and held executive positions within Schneider Electric’s Nordic organization.

Under Frank’s leadership, TAC experienced a 600% growth in revenue and an 800% growth in profits.

Tour Andover Controls provides integration of facility systems, including HVAC, power, access control and security, video, lighting, and fire and life safety. Web integration allows remote monitoring and control of facilities through Web browsers and PDAs.
