New Kamco Facility to Speed Shipments
OAKVILLE, ONTARIO — About 150 guests, vendors and employees attended the official opening June 20 of Kamco Products’ new location here. Activities for the day included: guided tours of the plant, which manufactures polyethylene-coated copper tubing; a pipe-cutting ceremony with Jeff Knoll, acting mayor of Oakville; a presentation by Ron Ellis, Stanley Cup winner with the 1967 Toronto Maple Leafs and member of Team Canada 72; and a donation of more than $1,000 to the Oakville Fareshare Food Bank by Kamco and its guests.
In December 2002, the company began relocating its production facility across Canada from Langley, British Columbia, to Oakville, which is just west of Toronto. The move allows Kamco to cut its average delivery time in half, enabling the company to deliver its coated-copper tubing to most wholesalers in Canada and the United States within two to three business days, Kamco President Brad Sigouin said. With customer service offices now in both British Columbia and Ontario, Kamco employees can answer customers’ questions and process their orders an extra three hours every weekday, he noted.
“In order to keep customer service as the focal point of our business, it became critical that we make this move,” Sigouin said.
Kamco is a family-owned and operated company that manufactures polyethylene-coated copper tubing for natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, fuel oil, potable water and various industrial applications. Since 1996, Kamco has been dedicated to designing high quality innovative products, while aiming for the highest level of service and support, Sigouin said.
“Kamco is devoted to simplifying product installations, improving customer safety and protecting the environment through the products we provide,” he said.
