The Wisconsin Fox Valley Sheet Metal Contractors Association elected the following slate of officers at their annual meeting: president Rick Bushey, Mechanical Technologies Inc., Green Bay; vice president Rick Hayes, E.G.I. Mechanical, Greenville; secretary/treasurer Mark Loper, Azco, Appleton; and board members Brad Baumgart, Baumgart Mechanical, Kaukauna, and Jarvis Perkins, Balco Services, Greenville. David C. Seitz continues to serve as executive vice president.

The Mechanical Contractors Association of Northwest Wisconsin elected the following slate of officers at their annual meeting: president Charles Falch, Bartingal Mechanical, Eau Claire; vice president Jim Eron, Eron & Gee, Wisconsin Rapids; secretary Ron Kohls, Kohls Plumbing & Heating, Vesper; treasurer Joe Hengel, Hengel Brothers, La Crosse. Also elected were the following board members: Tom Kempf, George Baumgardt Plumbing & Heating, Wausau; Keith Nuutinen, K’ng Mechanical, Chippewa Falls; Mike Schultz, Coulee Region Mechanical, La Crosse; Brad Kita, Malbrit Heating/Cooling/Plumbing, Wausau; and Mike Merryfield, Mechanical Inc., Tomahawk. Gail Gerhardt serves as executive vice president.

Rebecca Gold of Wigginton’s Plumbing Service, Nathrop, Colo., was elected chairperson of the Quality Service Contractors at a recent QSC Power Meeting in New Orleans. She is the first female chairperson of QSC. She has been a member since 1996, a trustee since 1998 and a licensed plumber since 1991. Gold replaces Scott Ziegler who was QSC chairperson the last three years. Tom Maniuszko of Day-Night Plumbing & Heating, Richmond Hill, N.Y., will serve as vice chair. Two new trustees were also elected: Keith Bienvenu, Bienvenu Brothers Enterprises, Metairie, La., and Patty Frank, Milton Frank Plumbing, Spring, Texas. Other trustees are: Steve Burch, Modern Plumbing, Pasadena, Texas; Rodger Peugeot, Rodger The Plumber, Overland Park, Kansas; and Lisa Mitchell (industry partner ex-officio), Service Doctors, Valley Center, Calif.

Robert N. Mathisen has joined Murphy Company Mechanical Contractors and Engineers, St. Louis, as director of high purity processes in the company’s Denver office. He has a B.S. in civil engineering from Cornell University.

Mark Van Schyndle was named Contractor of the Year at the Wisconsin Plumbing-Heating-Cooling-Contractors/Master Plumber Association convention held in Kohler, Wisc. Schyndle is vice president and secretary of Van Schyndle Plumbing & Heating, Green Bay, Wisc., a third-generation company. Steve Schneider was recently elected to serve on the Wisconsin PHCC board of directors. He is a plumbing estimator and project manager with Tweet/Garot Mechanical in Green Bay.

Shawn Weslow was recently elected president of the Associated Master Plumbers of Green Bay for a two-year term. Weslow is currently the president of Watercraft Co., a third-generation plumbing and heating business. Other elected officers are: vice president Jeff Mertz with R.J. Parins Plumbing and Heating and secretary/ treasurer Richard Lund with Reeke-Marold Co.

Shaw Mechanical Services, Orlando, Fla., has added Joseph R. Pence to its management team as manager of existing building services. He brings with him 41 years of engineering experience and systems knowledge.

Carol Lane has been named the winner of the In-Sink-Erator “Invest in Your Future” raffle benefiting the Educational Foundation of the PHCC-NA and the PHCC-NA Auxiliary Scholarship Fund. The raffle raised more than $100,000, $25,000 of which will go to the Scholarship Fund, and the remainder to the Educational Foundation. Lane was given the choice of a new car, an all-expense paid trip for four to the Super Bowl, $25,000 in cash, or bonds that would be worth $50,000 upon maturity; she opted for the cash.

EMCOR Group has announced the election of Larry J. Bump to the company’s board of directors, which increases the number of directors to seven. Bump is chairman of the board of Willbros Group, an international engineering and construction firm which he joined in 1977.

TDIndustries, Dallas, has named Ed. R. White as vice president of their newest operation in Phoenix. White has been with the company since it first opened its Phoenix branch in 2001 following eleven years with Interstate Mechanical Corp. where he was vice president of sales.

Oliver Heating & Cooling of Delaware County, Pa., has promoted Rocco W. Pace of Ridley Park to the position of president and COO. He has been with the company for 18 years.
