TOPSFIELD, MASS. — North Shore Mechanical Contractors, a specialty plumbing firm based here, has formed a new division dedicated to smaller installations, maintenance and emergency service of mechanical systems. While NSMC has always worked primarily through construction managers, the new client services division is bringing the company’s expertise direct to building owners and managers.

Since 1984, NSMC has specialized in plumbing and process piping projects for biopharmaceutical facilities, microelectronics plants, hospitals, industrial process plants and commercial buildings. Greg Maffei, client services division manager, said the new unit was established in response to requests from these customers.

“Many of our clients have not had a reliable resource for maintenance and service of the specialized systems that NSMC installs for them,” he said. “Our new division is specifically designed to provide that service for plumbing, process piping, HVAC and üontrol systems — and to perform smaller installations. We have a fleet of trucks stocked with thousands of parts and a dedicated staff of experienced tradespeople. We also draw on the expertise of NSMC’s project managers, engineers and CAD designers.”
