Jack L. Byrd Jr. has been named existing building sales manager at Shaw Mechanical Services, a service-based mechanical contracting company headquartered in Orlando, Fla. He brings more than 20 years' sales and management experience to his new position.

Clockwork Home Services, a leading provider of home services, has named industry veteran Tom Johnson to the position of team lead in the company’s franchise support team. Johnson’s appointment is effective immediately and he is based in the company’s Sarasota, Fla., headquarters. Before joining Clockwork, Johnson was regional manager for a large residential services organization.

Vendors

A. O. Smith Water Products Co. has appointed Jane M. Sanford to vice president/global human resources. Sanford joined A. O. Smith in 2003 as manager of human resources for the Water Products Co. Since April 2006, she has served as vice president/global human resources and organizational development.

The Sump and Sewage Pump Manufacturers Association recently elected the following officers: President Ryan Fickes of Pentair Water; Vice President Ted Foti of Franklin Electric Water Transfer Systems; Secretary-Treasurer Susan O’Grady of Pentair Water. Directors elected to two-year terms are Charlie Cook of Liberty Pumps and Loran Knudsvig of SJE-Rhombus. Continuing on the board as past president is Raymond Zoeller of Zoeller Co. Nike Professional Services provides management services, with Pamela Franzen serving as managing director.

Pat Tillisch has been appointed the U.S. president and general manager of Spirax Sarco. He most recently served as vice president/sales, with responsibility for all domestic and international field sales, inside sales and technical sales support.

Watts Water Technologies announced that Sam Blankson has joined Watts in the position of director/North American distribution. Blankson has had extensive involvement in the supply chain and customer support disciplines including several years experience with The Home Depot.

Emerson Climate Technologies has promoted John Sperino to vice president, general counsel and secretary. Sperino previously served as senior counsel focusing on international trade and antitrust for Emerson Corporate in St. Louis. Before that, he was a senior attorney for Emerson Process Management.

The Kohler Co. Board of Directors recently elected David Kohler executive vice president of Kohler Co., a corporate officer responsible for the company’s Kitchen & Bath Group and Technical Services. Kohler has served as president/Kitchen & Bath Group since 1999.

The Plumbing Manufacturers' Institute has named Shawn Martin as its new technical director. He comes to PMI from the National Association of Home Builders Research Center, where he has served since 2004 as director of applied technology. He brings a background in green technology and water efficiency to the position.

Business Roundtable has named Richard L. Keyser, chairman and CEO of W.W. Grainger, as chairman of its Partnership for Disaster Response Task Force. Keyser will lead this consortium of CEOs from prominent U.S. companies who are focusing on how the business community can most effectively contribute to national disaster preparedness and response efforts.
