AHR Expo sets records for visitors, exhibitors

DALLAS — The 59th AHR Expo, Jan. 29-31 here, attracted more than 46,000 HVACR professionals, including more than 28,000 attendees, from more than 100 countries to see the latest products and technologies on display.

The 2007 AHR Expo encompassed more than 350,000 sq. ft. of exhibition space and attracted almost 1,800 manufacturers and suppliers from 32 countries. The number of visitors and exhibitors set attendance records for an HVACR show in the Southwest, show management said.

Many products on display touted increased energy efficiency compatible with green building practices. CONTRACTOR's full coverage of the AHR Expo will appear in March.

The 2007 AHR Expo Innovation Awards recognized creativity in the industry. This year, 125 products were entered into the competition. All proceeds were used to fund a scholarship for HVACR students at Vernon College in Vernon, Texas.

Winning companies include A.O. Smith, Lennox, Danfoss, HVAC Solutions, Newport Electronics, Empire Comfort Systems and Copeland/Emerson Climate Technologies.
