Scott McQuade, a construction manager with Trimech
Corp., a subsidiary of EMCOR Group in New Jersey, has received the
2006 EMCOR Diamond Award for outstanding community service. McQuade
serves as an emergency care volunteer for the New Jersey Division
of Youth and Family Services. Over the last four years, the agency
has helped more than 22 children in need.
Sanford, Fla.-based Limbach Facility Services has hired David Leathers as senior vice president/director of service and maintenance. He comes to the position with 23 years of experience in the refrigeration and process cooling industry. He was most recently a regional service director with York International.
Gregory Spence has joined Murphy Co. as a senior project manager in its Denver operations group. His focus will be on mechanical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning and energy services projects for large hospitals, institutions and commercial clients. Spence has nearly 40 years of experience in the construction industry, including 20 years of field management experience and 16 years of sheet metal estimating and project management experience. Before joining Murphy Co., he served as president of Chavez Sheet Metal Co. in Denver.
J. F. Ahern Co. has appointed Randall Deumke as industrial/process project manager at the company's Milwaukee office. Deumke brings more than 20 years of industry experience to JFA, most recently as piping estimator for Grunau Co. in Milwaukee.
G. Raymond Hefner, executive vice president of the Plumbing Industry Council in St. Louis, received the 2006 Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors - National Association's Legislative Service Award at its annual convention in September in Chicago. Plumbing Industry Council President Bob Mitchell nominated Hefner, who has been on the council for 11 years helping with many programs including establishing the council's Political Action Committee.
Mechanical Service Contractors of America has announced a new slate of officers for its board of managers, headed by new Chairman Wayne Turchetta of HMC Service in Louisville, Ky. Other officers include Vice Chair Russ Borst of Hurst Industries in Belmont, Mich., and Treasurer Jeff McCoy of Mechanical Inc. in Freeport, Ill. The officers were introduced at MSCA's 21st annual education conference Oct. 15-18 in Charleston, S.C. MSCA also announced the appointments of Dave Bavisotto of J.F. Ahern in Menomonee Falls, Wis., and Arnold Woodall of W.E. Bowers in Beltsville, Md., to its nine-member board.

Brad Beckman has joined Uponor as vice
president/finance and member of the senior management committee.
Most recently he was chief financial planner with Provell Inc.
Previously he was chief financial officer and treasurer for
Northern Tool and Equipment Co. Joel Culp will
join Uponor as vice president and member of the senior management
committee. He was most recently director of channel marketing with
Kohler Co.
Jim Erickson of Premier Sales Associates is the new sales rep for California Faucets' New England division. He brings more than 17 years of sales experience in the kitchen-and-bath industry to the position.
Matthew P. Hurley has joined Chicago Faucets as vice president/commercial sales. He comes to the position with 20 years of experience in the commercial and industrial plumbing and HVAC industry. He served most recently as vice president/sales and marketing for Anvil International. John F. Fitzgerald has joined the company as marketing director. He has 20 years of business-to-business and business-to-consumer experience. Before joining Chicago Faucets, Fitzgerald held marketing and management roles with Elkay Manufacturing, Motorola, System Sensor (a Honeywell company) and Safety-Kleen.
Viessmann Manufacturing Co. has appointed Kenneth Webster as sales and marketing director for North America. Webster has more than 20 years of experience in the industry and serves as chairman o f the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating.
Tyco Fire & Building Products has added Michael L. Bedzyk as territory manager/Grinnell Mechanical Products to the company's sales and marketing team. He brings 12 years of industry experience to the job. Grinnell Mechanical Products, a division of Tyco, has promoted Don F. Russell to Midwest regional manager and John P. Rankel to the position of Western Division sales manager.
Dianne Pisarek has joined Liberty Hardware, a division of Masco, as vice president/marketing. She was previously vice president/marketing with Danaher Corp. Tool Group.
