ARLINGTON, VA. -- Eleven HVACR industry associations and educational entities are offering recognition to HVACR and mechanical contractors across the country of their contributions to the industry's future. Every instructor of HVACR and mechanical instructor programs will be provided with a no-cost registration to the 2011 HVACR & Mechanical Contractor Instructor Workshop March 23-25 at the National Conference Center in Lansdowne, Va.

There will be two and a half days of educational workshops and sessions that will offer insights and practical skills on a variety of topics. One of the instructors is John Barba who has been in the heating industry most of his life, growing up in his family's plumbing and heating business outside of Boston. Barba's practical experience includes everything from ditch digging and drain cleaning to boiler piping and PEX installing, as well as business management and contractor sales.

Since 1995, Barba has trained over 10,000 contractors in the art and science of hydronic heating design and installation through highly interactive, entertaining, and informative seminars. Barba, who is a Contractor Training and Trade Program manager for Taco Inc, a leading manufacturer of commercial and residential hydronic circulators, controls and accessories, will present several sessions during the 2011 Instructor Workshop.

Warren Lupson, director of education for the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute and the lead organizer for this year's workshop, said "this is an opportunity that no other major industry provides. All of our professional associations have partnered together to give instructors complete access to the only instructor workshop designed by and for educators. When you look at the value received and the resources and knowledge that instructors will be able to immediately implement in their classrooms and labs, it shows the importance our industry places on those who teach our future employees."

The 2011 HVACR & Mechanical Instructor Workshop is recommended for all HVACR instructors, administrators, and industry trainers in secondary, postsecondary, and proprietary programs. In addition, HVACR and apprentice program instructors and administrators as well as apprentice program advisory committee members are encouraged to attend. This annual industry event is jointly sponsored by Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute; Air Conditioning Contractors of America; Heating, Air conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International); Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada; North American Technician Excellence; National Association of Oil Heating Service Managers; National Association Educational Foundation; Plumbing-Heating-Cooling-Contractors - National Association; and Refrigeration Service Engineers Society.
